As Thanksgiving approaches we are looking forward to the
winter season, starting with Meet the Coaches Night (Clearance Night) 11/20
6:30 at PNHS. Some important information
pertaining to the eligibility of student-athletes to be eligible to participate
in our athletic program; a rule change from the MIAA, student-athletes must
have had a physical in the last 13 months to be able to participate. The day
after a physical expires the student-athlete becomes ineligible. For example:
if a student-athlete has a physical 8/21/2011, they are eligible until
9/21/2012. On 9/22/2012 that student-athlete would become ineligible until he
or she gets another physical to the A.D.’s office. Reminder, all student-athletes
and parents/guardians must take the NFHS concussion
course on the NFHS website (www.nfhs.org) every year.
Keep up with all the great things happening in
our athletic program, keep checking the PN athletic website to see all the
latest news, and follow @pnhsathletics.
