2007 Review

The Plymouth North Lady Eagles made a return trip to the 2007 MIAA State Tournament.   In the preliminary round the Lady Eagles had to travel to Dennis Yarmouth, to take on ACL foe - Dolphins.     After a regular season draw, 0 - 0, the Lady Eagles advanced in the state tournament with a 2 - 1 victory.   Junior center midfielder Tiffany Aguiar, put the Lady Eagles in the lead with a goal just 2 minutes into the game.   The Lady Ealges leading goal scorer Sophmore Shana Follette put the Lady Eagles up for good with a first half goal.   The Dolphins did make the game interesting scoring late in the second half to make it 2 - 1.   With minutes remaining in the game, Junior Goalkeeper Alison McDonald made a spectacular diving save to preserve the 2 - 1 victory.   In the next round of the tournament the Lady Eagles had to travel Bay State League champ and eventual South Sectional Champ Weymouth High School.   Here the Lady Eagles wound up on the short end of the stick, with a 2 - 0 defeat.

There were a number of Lady Eagles who received post season awards.   Senior forward Samantha Reynolds was named to the Atlantic Coast League All Star team for the second year.   Joining Sam on the All Star team were first timers, Jr. Back Alison Dexter, Jr. Midfielder Tiffany Aguiar, Jr. Midfielder Courtney Burton, and Honorable Mentions Sr. Midfielder Izabella Miranda and Soph. Fwd Shana Follette.

Samantha Reynolds was also named Old Colony Memorials 2007 Fall Athlete of the year capping off a great career for the Lady Eagles.   Other Lady Eagles who have marking an end to their soccer careers at Plymouth North, Capt. Jessica Smith, Capt. Izzy Miranda, Capt. Amanda Nadile, Lyla Brech, Brooke Kimball, Brooke Stevens, Dani Abraham, Katie Collins, Caroline Garrett, and Lauren Hess.   Your coaches and teammates would like to thank you and wish you the best.
